Deacons

 

Presently, the daily operation of the Old Aberdeen Road Church of Christ family is overseen by eleven deacons. In alphabetical order, they are…

Danny Bailey: Danny and Theresa Bailey work with the Senior Saints organizing trips and get-togethers.  Danny also arranges the worship service on Sunday morning.  Theresa teaches the 2&3 year old class.
 
Robert Craig: Robert and Claire Craig lead the educational department.  Presently, Robert is chairman of the deacons; not elevating himself over the others but providing direction for meetings and acting as a contact person for members to easily identify.  Claire teaches the 3&4 year old class.
 
Ryan Fulgham: Ryan and Shelia Fulgham work with the audio/visual portion of our worship.  Ryan runs sound equipment and has recently assumed responsibility for the upkeep of the building.  Shelia sings with the praise team and is an original member of Refuge.
 
Bobby Graham: Bobby and Sandra Graham have been worshiping with the OAR family for many years.  Bobby is one of two treasurers and assist Ryan Fulgham with building responsibilities.  Sandra is the contact person for community needs.
 
Scott Hinnant: Scott and Allison Hinnant are active in worship preparation.  Scott is our worship/song leader and Allison sings with the praise team.  She is also an original member of Refuge.
Tom Holley: Tom and Wanda Holley are vital members of OAR.  Tom works with building responsibilities and is our resident carpenter.  He biggest achievement was our sound booth.  Wanda works with our two treasurers, handling most of the computer work.
Scott Hudson: Scott and Vonda Hudson have various responsibilities.  Scott takes care of our church van, the baptistry, and is one of our two treasurers.  Vonda presently produces our weekly bulletin and organizes fellowship responsibilities.
Les Pollard: Les and Gail Pollard have been with OAR for many years.  Les, a former elder, handles all of our outside, heavy equipment work.  Gail is active in our educational department and helps organize services for our families in time of need.
Jesse Quarells: Jesse and Karen Quarrels teach the college age class at OAR.  Jesse, a former elder, is a horticulturist by trade and oversees our own 'Garden of Eden' doing most of the work himself.  Karen is our resident craft expert working on fellowship and special event decorations and acting as special consultant to classroom design.

Kenny White: Kenny and Sherri White share in the responsibilities of our Benevolence fund.  Kenny teaches the high school boys class.  Sherri teaches the two and three year old class and helps organize services for our families in time of need.
