"Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate." -Psalm 127:3-5 -Psalm

-Born in Memphis, Tennessee 53 years ago. I was raised in Tunica, Mississippi through my teen years and moved to West Point, Ms. in 1984. I was fortunate to have great parents who raise me in the church of Christ.
I am a husband of 26 years and the father of 2 children - one girl, age 22 and one boy, age 20..
I love children of all ages especially teenagers. I have always felt drawn to kids and feel that God has called me to help them as much as I can to find their way to him. I am committed to that end. I'm focused on teaching the kids the lessons that relate directly to their life and current situations in life. So many times kids grow up living on their parents faith. I want them to believe what they believe not because their parents said so, but through the careful study and truths of the Bible. Hopefully, later in life there will be fewer doubts about their beliefs.
Favorite Scriptures: Psalms 1:1-3 Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. 2But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. 3He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers. ---Born in Memphis, Tennessee 53 years ago. I was raised in Tunica, Mississippi through my teen years and moved to West Point, Ms. in 1984. Wendy Vickers -Born in Columbus, Mississippi and raised in West Point, Mississippi. Raised in the church of Christ.
I am a wife of 18 years and the mother of 3 children. Twin girls, age 8 and one boy, age 6. I am currently a teacher's assistant in a West Point elementary school.
I have a deep love for all children. My heartfelt desire is to help youth of all ages develop a faith and commitment to God while they are young. I hope to help them establish the "Foundation" that they can stand on when the storms of life rage against us. I also seek to help young people see that they are of much more value than society tells them. So much of what our media tells our youth is that our values are based on outward appearance; however we are fearfully and wonderfully made and dearly loved by God. We are not created to conform to this world. God created us for a purpose for each of our lives that brings us more joy that anything this world could ever offer.
Favorite Scripture: Romans 12:2Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
